Breitling Premier B01 Collection Adds Six New Watches
Compared to iconic models like the Navitimer and Chronomat, the Breitling Premier is hardly the most famous collection in the brand’s lineup; however, it is certainly one of the oldest, dating back to 1943. As one of the most traditional models in Breitling’s modern catalog, the Premier is often the ideal Breitling collection for those who typically find the brand’s watches a bit too bold and “out there” for them, offering a classic design that’s neither too formal nor too sporty, but somewhere in between. As part of the latest batch of new arrivals for 2023, six new Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 watches join the collection, including five stainless steel models and one all-18k red gold model.
At first glance, the six new Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 watches almost look like models that should already exist in the brand’s catalog. However, this is mainly because the new watches feature colorways from other models in the Premier collection, such as the Duograph and Datora. In reality, the six new Premier models are not entirely new watches, and given how familiar they feel, they may not seem all that exciting at first. That being said, the 42mm version of the Premier Chronograph is a core product in Breitling’s modern catalog, and these six new models represent a significant line extension, significantly expanding this fan-favorite model and making it a true cornerstone product.
Like the existing Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 model in the brand’s catalog, the six new models have a case diameter of 42mm, a thickness of 13.6mm, lugs of 22mm, and a total lug-to-lug distance of 50.03mm. Likewise, the dial is covered with a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, while the screw-down caseback also features a sapphire crystal display window, which offers a glimpse of the automatic-winding manufacture movement. Like all currently produced Breitling Premier watches, the new B01 Chronograph 42 models feature the signature push-pull winding crown at 3 o’clock, flanked by a pair of rectangular pushers dedicated to operating the stopwatch functions.
